Our Beginners’ Brass Ensemble provides Warwick students with the opportunity to learn a Brass instrument of their choosing, including informal tuition, and provision of instruments all for free!

Led by our Beginners Coordinator, Tomos, and assisted by a team of volunteers from the society, the group welcomes any students, regardless of previous musical experience, to learn to play a brass instrument in a relaxed and fun environment. As well as developing a skill for life, many former members have also progressed quickly enough to join the Brass Band whilst still studying.

The ensemble rehearse weekly as a group, and individual tuition is offered in the form of short mentoring sessions with a member of the Brass Band. Society owned instruments are also provided, from a choice of; Cornet, Tenor Horn, Euphonium, Trombone, and Tuba.
Rehearsals for the 2017/18 academic year will take place at 3:00 – 4:00pm on Wednesdays in the Westwood Music Centre.
